Edendale, located on the Gauteng East Rand, is a suburb of Edenvale and forms part of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.

Edendale is a popular, well-established suburb, situated close to excellent schools, shopping centres and transport routes. The suburb offers quality leisure, sporting and medical facilities.

Edendale has a moderate subtropical climate with little humidity. The winters are mild and sunny, but nights are cold. Summers are pleasantly warm and sunny with frequent late afternoon thunderstorms. Spring and Autumn are mild and sunny but cold snaps can occur in April and September. The average winter temperature is 16° Celsius, with the average summer temperature being 25° Celsius.

Edendale is situated approximately 10 km from O.R. Tambo International Airport, 18 km from the Johannesburg City Centre and is located 15 km by road from Sandton and about 12 km from the closest Gautrain station.
